# Executive Summary

## Introduction

Koova is a verification platform that makes it possible to prove that a transaction happened, exactly as described, without relying on trust in any single party. We solve a fundamental problem in commerce: verification.

### The Context

Today, commerce is built on trust. You trust the merchant. You trust the platform. You trust the bank. But trust is expensive and fragile. When disputes arise, there’s no way to verify what actually happened. Merchants lose billions to chargebacks. AI agents can’t prove their actions. Enterprises have no auditable records.

Koova changes this by making every transaction verifiable. Not because you need to distrust anyone, but because verification is objectively better than trust.

{% hint style="warning" %}
**The Core Problem**

Every transaction tells a story, but who’s telling the truth?
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="success" %}
**Our Solution: Proof Over Trust**

We generate mathematical evidence that a transaction happened, exactly as described. This proof can be verified by anyone, independently, without needing to trust us or any other middleman.

### The Market Opportunity

The addressable market spans four segments totaling $16 billion annually:

* **E-commerce:** $2T+ transaction volume
* **AI commerce:** $100B+ projected
* **Enterprise supply chains:** $1T+ transaction volume
* **DeFi:** $100B+ transaction volume

### Our Competitive Advantage

**Simplicity. Flexibility. Sustainability. Ecosystem.**

We make verification accessible to everyone, not just cryptography experts.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://koova.gitbook.io/koova-whitepaper/introduction/executive-summary.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
